How to Read Odds — Three Formats
Odds are written in three formats — Decimal, Fractional and American. betfun generally uses the decimal format, though the other two may also appear. Below the same odds are explained in all three formats.
Example 1 — Predicting Team A to win, stake ৳500
Decimal 2.50 = Fractional 3/2 = American +150. If the bet wins, total return is ৳1,250 (৳750 profit + ৳500 original stake). If the bet loses, ৳500 is gone.
Example 2 — Favourite Team B, stake ৳500
Decimal 1.80 = Fractional 4/5 = American -125. A negative American odds figure shows how much you need to stake to win ৳100. On a ৳500 bet, total return if you win is ৳900 (৳400 profit).
Decimal odds are the easiest to understand — multiply the odds figure by your stake to get the total return. The higher the odds, the more unexpected the outcome and the greater the potential return.
Live In-Play Betting — Odds Change During the Game
You can still place bets after a match has started — this is called live in-play betting. In cricket, odds change instantly whenever a wicket falls or runs come quickly.
Say Team A is batting and two wickets have fallen in the first over — at that moment Team A's odds to win will rise because the result is now uncertain. On the other hand, if Team B hits consecutive sixes, their odds to win will shorten.
A few things to keep in mind with live betting:

- Run rate is higher in powerplay overs, so the over/under market is active during that phase
